The followers of the K-Pop group reacted in different ways to aspects such as the dolls’ hair, face and clothing.
Mattel revealed what the BTS Idol Fashion Doll would look like, dolls from the K-Pop band. These generated divided opinion among the fandom.
The seven models that refer to J-Hope, Ji-min, V, Suga, Jin, RM and Jung-Kook, will be sold at a cost of 19.99 dollars, which is equivalent to around 388 pesos; The copies were made based on the look that each one presented in the “IDOL” video.

Jeon Jung-Kook
The doll version of the singer, dancer, rapper, composer and model maintains the same style as in the music video, even the detail of the belt and the rhombuses of the suit were respected; the hair is close to the tone and has a similar hairstyle.
In general, the reception of the fans was positive. This is one of the scale models that received the fewest complaints.
Park Ji-min
The 23-year-old singer and dancer appears in the same suit and tie as in the video clip, the red fabric with the horizontal pattern in orange, green and blue remaining intact. The only detail is that during the recording of “IDOl”, his hair was lighter and not black.

Min Yoon-gi is a rapper, songwriter, producer, dancer, and model and he’s also the one his version of toys most closely resembles. His full suit looks identical and his face has very similar features, the only “but” is that his hair is not the exact color.
BTS fans were receiving this model in a good way, only some made reference to the tone of the hairstyle, but the change does not look much.

Kim Seok Jin, the sub-vocalist of BTS, will have a version made by Mattel with identical facial features; his eyebrows and mouth look just like the real one. Also, the work he did to copy the red, yellow and blue flower suit was really remarkable.

Kim Nam-joon is the leader and main rapper of BTS. This was one of the toy versions that his followers liked the most, the suit is identical but the detail of the dimple was what excited everyone the most.
This was one of the dolls in which the fans had practically total acceptance.
J-Hope
Jung Ho-seok, dancer, choreographer, rapper, singer, songwriter, model and producer, is one of the best detailed with accessories. His yellow and green suit was perfectly emulated, while the hairstyle makes a clear reference to how he had it in the “IDOL” video clip. Fans complained about the face of this model, as they did not consider that he did justice to J Hope.
