Best vampire games of all time (11 images)

Blood, bites, garlic and stakes are not lacking in the titles starring vampires that we have enjoyed on our consoles . The stories they have told us have led us to get into the skin of the vampire slayers, as if we were Van Helsing, and of the Dracula-like kings of the night in search of quenching our thirst for blood. We have crossed oceans of time to find these best vampire games that we are going to talk about. Are you ready?

A Vampyre Story (2008)

In true LucasArts style, in A Vampyre Story we have to help Mona De Laffite, a singing student who has been turned into a vampire by accident, return home. A comic graphic adventure for PC with hand-drawn scenarios that may remind you of The Curse of Monkey Island.

BloodRayne (2002)

The hack and slash game developed by Terminal Reality is, along with Castlevania, one of the vampire sagas that has aged the best. Its success inspired a sequel, BloodRayne 2, two movies, and a comic of books series. The most interesting thing about the video game is its story that puts us in the shoes of Dhampir, a girl born from a vampire and a mortal, who will see her morality tested in a divided world.

Castlevania (1987)

The Castlevania saga and, specifically, its first title is the best vampire game of all time . Since 1987, we have relived the adventures of the Belmont family and their particular war against Count Dracula. Every hundred years, Dracula is resurrected and it is the job of the Belmont clan to defeat him before he causes too much pain and suffering. The saga combines history, action and gameplay like few others.

Darkwatch (2005)

Published by Ubisoft in the UK and by Capcom in the US and America, Darkwatch is a first person shooter for Xbox and PS2 with a combat system inspired by the first Halo. Our protagonist is Jericho Cross, a gunslinger turned vampire who must face all kinds of supernatural beings. Gothic, Western and SteamPunk intermingle in the setting of this vampire game.

Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1990)

We continue our review of the best vampire games with Elvira: Mistress of the Dark for Commodore Amiga, Commodore 64, AmigaOS, DOS, MS-DOS, Atari ST. Elvira will go down in history as a myth of the 80s , a vampire with an impossible wig who was brought to life by Cassandra Peterson. Her first film, Mistress of the Dark, jumped into the world of video games with role-playing and graphic adventure touches.

The plot is totally different from the movie and takes us to Elvira’s castle to try to rescue her from the witch Emelda. To do this, we must find Elvira’s magic book to learn spells, explore dark passageways and fight melee, as well as with magic against various enemies.

Infamous 2: Festival of Blood (2011)

Festival of Blood is a standalone expansion for Infamous 2. Its story has little to do with the original game. The expansion takes place during the events of inFamous 2 and begins with Cole’s friend Zeke Zumbar trying to get a woman’s attention by telling her a vampire story starring Cole. We will be the protagonists of that story known as The Night of the Bonfire.

Infamous: Festival of Blood is one of the best vampire games of all time for its history, with new powers, characters and locations for Infamous.

Legacy of Kain (1999)

This is another of the great sagas of vampire games. Legacy of Kain has five titles in which the redemption and healing of the characters is the central point of the stories.

Legacy of Kine is set in Nosgoth and combines puzzles, exploration, and hack and slash combat. A vampire game that has become a cult saga.

Vampire: Master of Darkness (1992)

Dracula’s shadow has fallen over Victorian England. He makes his way through strange and menacing streets and cavernous warehouses as he battles his army of monsters. Vampire: Master of Darkness is the Castlevania of the Sega Master System and Game Gear. A side action title in which we got into the skin of Dr. Ferdinand Social to chase the evil Dracula from London to the Carpathians.

Vampire the Masquerade (2004)

The Vampire saga will make you live the experience of being a vampire and create your own story. Vampire: The Masquerade has a careful RPG system and a complete story with great freedom to create our own path. By allowing us to play with all the vampire clans of the World of Darkness, it is a very replayable title since the story changes depending on the vampire we choose. Unfortunately, it was not a very popular game at the time, but we want to claim it as one of the best vampire games of all time.
