The Sussexes will star in a Netflix docuseries directed by Oscar-nominated documentarian Liz Garbus. As reported by Deadline in October 2022, the series’ unofficial premiere date was initially set for December 2022 , right after the new season of Netflix’s The Crown . However, the platform would have postponed the documentary’s release date until 2023 due to the reaction that some of the topics covered in the fifth season of The Crown have aroused. We’re entrusting our story to someone else and that means it’s going through his lens.”
