1. Wiz Khalifa, Real Rappers Rap

Wiz Khalifa started 2020 off on the right foot: the Taylor Gang boss released the official video for his first track of the year, Real Rappers Rap. The song, produced by Big Jerm , is everything fans love about the old Wiz sound: laid-back instruments, R&B samples, and lots of marijuana references. The theme video is straightforward and really simple, which goes well with the hazy cut. We just see Wiz in a dark space with the spotlight shining on him as he raps his rhymes and smokes.

2. Rich The Kid + Quavo, That’s Tuff

Last year, rapper Rich The Kid made a label switch from Interscope to Republic Records , and to commemorate the move, he released a new song, That’s Tuff featuring Quavo. Barely a month after his arrival, they share with us the official visual of the single. Heading to their nearby gym, Rich The Kid and Quavo are greeted by a number of gym addicts who seem to doubt the duo’s abilities. With the goal of proving everyone in the gym wrong, the two rappers get to work. They soon take over the gym as they effortlessly lift weights all over the place.

3. TOKiMONSTA, Fried for the Night

TOKiMONSTA today announced their first album in three years, Oasis Nocturno , with a mind-bending, psychedelic music video for lead single Fried for the Night , also featuring Atlanta rap duo EARTHGANG . The Romain Laurent – directed visual finds TOKi and EARTHGANG navigating a surreal house party. The album is the Grammy-nominated production company’s first work since 2017’s Lune Rouge .

4. Khruangbin + Leon Bridges, C-Side

In December, Khruangbin and Leon Bridges announced that they would be teaming up for a collaboration EP called Texas Sun. After revealing the title track, the pair arrive for their next single, C-Side . The latest effort continues to live up to the expectations of the two musical forces: Moving on silky guitar tones, Bridges’s velvety timbre effortlessly sweeps through the verses, feeling like a breeze. 5. Real Estate, Paper Cup

Indie-rock quintet Real Estate this week announced their first new album since 2017’s In Mind with the release of their fifth LP The Main Thing , out February 28 via Domino . The first single is Paper Cup, a danceable, string-accented song, which features background vocals from Sylvan Esso ‘s Amelia Meath as a guest. The track arrives alongside a Nick Roney -directed video in which the song is performed by Chipper, an animatronic chipmunk who has definitely seen better days.

6. Vundabar, Burned Off

Boston duo Vundabar will follow up their 2018 album Smell Smoke with a new LP called Either Light , the arrival of which they announced today with lead single Burned Off , which the band says details the time spent waiting for a low moment. “The song explores that surreal and sometimes inexplicable moment of inner change, the lifting of the fog, and the way our inner state informs our outer experience.” Hear it above.

7. Okay So, Psych Ward

Kaya Wilkins , who makes music under the name Okay Kaya , released her debut album, Both , in 2018. Last spring, the Norwegian-born musician announced her move to Jagjaguwar with a cover of Cher ‘s Believe , and today shares the new single from his upcoming second album, due out later this month, titled Watch This Liquid Pour Itself. The track is called Psych Ward , and is inspired by Kaya’s own visit to a psychiatric ward. She herself directed the clip with Adinah Dancyger , and she has quite a One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest mood. Enjoy it upstairs.
