Dad, at 17?
At the young age of 17, in 2011, Justin Bieber had to take a public paternity test to dispel rumors that he was the father of a three-month-old baby. Mariah Yeater, 20, accused Bieber of fathering a child with her and even filed a case against her. The paternity test was negative.
Minor in a brothel
In 2013, Justin Bieber was photographed in the background of a selfie taken by a prostitute. He was also photographed sneaking out of a brothel in Brazil. For a 19-year-old, that was not well accepted by everyone, let alone being recognized as a ‘good’ guy.
A delinquent
In July 2014, Justin Bieber was indicted on one misdemeanor count of egging his neighbor’s house causing $80,900 in damage. It wouldn’t be the first time he did something like this, but it was quite a drama.
Their arrests
In January 2014, Bieber and his friend Khalil were arrested for driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and driving without a valid license. His toxicology report revealed traces of marijuana and anxiolytics. And, as if that were not enough, in the photo of his arrest he was caught smiling.
On September 1, 2014, Justin was arrested once again on reckless driving and assault charges. The incident occurred in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.
The United States asked for his deportation
Following his arrest in 2014, more than 270,000 US citizens signed a petition to the White House. The petition called for Justin Bieber to be deported from the United States to Canada. However, on further grounds, the petition was dismissed.
They banned it in China
In 2017, Justin Bieber was banned from performing in China. The Chinese government cited his past behavior as the reason for the ban, saying, “It is not proper to bring in artists who misbehave.”
Against abortion
At the young age of 16, Bieber revealed his strong opinion on abortion during an interview with Rolling Stones magazine. When asked about various social and political views, Justin admitted that he doesn’t believe in abortion, revealing that “it’s like killing a baby.” This opinion was obviously not liked by many fans and we can clearly see why.
Ran over a paparazzi
While it must be annoying to have a camera on your face 24/7, it’s part of the fame game. And while most celebrities are learning to cope with the invasion, the young pop star has come to a head. When he was 23, Justin tried to scare a photographer and hit him with his car. Fortunately, the victim had no life-threatening injuries to him, but he did require immediate medical attention.
Hit a fan
This may be one of the biggest controversies Bieber has ever been involved in. During a trip to Barcelona, the angry teen got into an altercation with a fan, leaving him bleeding. The fan approached Justin while he was in his car, he got too close, touching his face and in a second, the star punched back.
Ana Frank
Some may call Justin Bieber crazy, especially after this incident. During a visit to the Anne Frank House during a trip to Amsterdam, the pop star made a bold statement saying she believes Anne Frank would have been a fan of her music. In the guest book, Justin wrote: “Truly inspiring to be able to come here,” he wrote. “Anna was a great girl. She would have been a belieber.” This insensitive comment was obviously VERY criticized.
Accused of manipulating statistics
In May 2020, rapper 6ix9ine accused Justin Bieber and singer Ariana Grande of manipulating the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Their collaboration “Stuck With U” rocketed to No. 1 on the chart after sales of their signed CD packages .
Your drug use
Most recently, Justin Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun have been accused of using rapper Lil Twist as a scapegoat in a marijuana possession case. Twist claims that it was done to create guilt.
